AHTU Efforts :
1. Tracing missing cases
2. Conducting Awareness programs on Good touch & Bad touch,
3. Rescue and rehabilitation of Child labour, begging, street children, bonded labour and runaway children
4. Prevention of Child marriages

formed a special team  named as Anti Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of Srikakulam District dated   03-06-2014 of Superintendent of Police, the special team  was constituted with 1/SI, 1/ASI, 2/HC,  & 2/PCs (At present 1 ASI,1 HC and 1 WPC) organized duties under supervision of the Superintendent of Police, Srikakulam specially in order to prevent the Human Trafficking, raids have to been conducted in red light areas, and also outside of AP State to rescue and rehabilitate victims. Identify the children missing for more than four months  on registered the FIRs by the SHO of Srikakulam district and investigation being done by the special team.
A Separate room at the 2nd floor of the DPO was provided besides logistic support. AHTU is provided with 2 Motorcycles to use in local enquiries. In addition to that one 4 wheeler also provided to use in distant enquiries within the district. (At present it is under DAR Etcherla) Further a Digital “Canon” Camera is also provided to this team in order to take photographs and Videos of Victims, Child Labour, Traced missing Children, Street children, Orphans and Human Traffickers to maintain database.   On the part of awareness in the Public, the Team distributed about 10,000 Pamphlets in the District. Total 18 licensed Child Care Institutions (CCIs) in the District have been maintained by the Govt. & NGOs. 
        The team along with line departments like ICPS, NCLP, LABOUR DEPARTMENTS, CHILDLINE & Other NGOs  has organized rescue operations   ( OPERATION SMILE – I & II, OPERATION MUSKAAN – I to VI STATE ACTION FORTNIGHT & MONTH AGAINST CHILD LABOUR, Special rescue operation against NOMADIC Children, ONE DAY MUSKAN Programs and OPERATION MUSKAN  COVID-19 and special drive for street children   which long campaigns has been issued by Addl.DGP, CID,AP)., Nomadic, Migrated children and Street children)  were rescued.
